Massages & Bodyworks
When it comes to massage, one size does not fit
all. There are many different techniques for manipulating the body’s
soft tissues that alleviate pain, discomfort, and assist in
detoxification. Whichever one you choose, you will enjoy a deep
level of relaxation, comfort, and the highest standards of
professional care.
Swedish Massage
Pure relaxation! Disperses physical tension from the body in a
gentle way by loosening tight muscles, removing energy blockages,
and increasing blood and lymph circulation. The classic massage for
bringing the body back into a balanced and relaxed state.
Deep Tissue Massage
Applies greater pressure to deeper layers of the muscle than Swedish
massage. Helps release trapped nerves and correct damaged muscle
tissue, as well as to soften hard muscles which have caused joint
restriction and structural misalignment.
Lymphatic Drainage
Uses light, rhythmic massage strokes to assist the movement of
lymphatic fluids through the body. Speeds and boosts transfer of
toxins and waste products from internal organs into the blood
stream, where they can be removed from the body.
Myofascial Release
Gentle, effective treatment for chronic pains and problems which
have resisted other healing techniques. Stretches and holds the
body’s fascia, or connective tissue, allowing it to release and
unwind from accumulated injuries.
Raindrop Technique
Combines aromatherapy with a range of relaxing massage techniques by
applying essential oils to various areas of the body. Assists in
creating balance while bringing structural and electrical alignment.
Sports Massage
A deep massage technique used to reduce soreness caused by the
build-up of lactic acid after any hard exertion. Eases physical
injuries by stretching and toning damaged muscles; softens scar
tissue caused by previous injuries; and increases muscle
flexibility, thus helping prevent injury.
Thai Massage
Sometimes referred to as “assisted yoga,” this technique works on
the body’s energy lines to release blockages and stimulate energy
flow, increasing flexibility and releasing stress and tension.
Includes passive yoga poses and breath work.
Trigger Point
Works on specific muscle “knots” which trigger pain in other areas
of the body. Pressure is applied and held to irritated areas within
muscles, easing spasms and pain caused by continual muscle tension.
Benefits include increased blood circulation and release of pressure
on nerves.
Vitaflex
Uses the pads and nails of the fingers in a rolling releasing motion
to fire voltages into the body through reflex points. Creates a
vibration of healing energy to relieve pain, release tension and
congestion. Includes aromatherapy treatment.
NOTE: Make certain you discuss your
concerns, history of injuries, other treatments, and specific
complaints in detail with your practitioner before beginning any
massage treatment.
